Good Neighbors: Upper Saranac Lake Association is producing a 500-recipe hardcover cookbook that includes some beautiful and historic lake photos. All Sales will Benefit Milfoil Removal Efforts. Immediately after the November 9th board meeting for GSHNJ, some board members verbally gave news to the camp supporters waiting outside the meeting: Eagle Island will reopen in the Summer of 2011 as a resident camp, and will open on a limited basis in the summer of 2010. Looking for a dependable used pickup truck that could be either donated or purchased!
Work is in progress on Eagle Island by our property manager and his helper, and we are now raising money for a truck for the mainland and any leftovers to go towards a new barge. Please email

- - SUMMER PROGRAMS 2009 CANCELLED - -
This summer's programs were cancelled. We hope that the camp will reopen next year but this depends upon the will of Council, the reports of various task forces and the progress of repair projects. Please take the time to peruse the various resources, and as some of the alumnae put it in their letters, "Stay strong and stay connected."
