Welcome to Camp Eagle Island, a Girl Scout camp since 1938, located on an island in Upper Saranac Lake, NY. This site is meant as a resource for the Friends of EIC, people who've been there and love it, who want to help the camp continue.

NO CAMP in Summer of '11. The latest announcement from GSHNJ says thanks for the $$, no camp next summer, another task group forming this summer. Perhaps in September after the next Board meeting we will hear what the "plausible potential future options" are for EIC. We can only hope one of them is Girl Scout Camp. - - posted 29jun10

Good Neighbors: Upper Saranac Lake Association has produced a 500-recipe hardcover cookbook that includes some beautiful and historic lake photos. All Sales will Benefit Milfoil Removal Efforts. Some EIC alumnae got together and put an ad in the cookbook. - - posted 28jan10
